I finished the miniature for the One Ring Winter Challenge in time (almost 36 hours left!). This miniature is painted with greens, reds and neutrals to fit the theme of the challenge without sculpting santa hats or beards. Call me Scrooge, but so far the only Christmas themed miniature I have liked is the Christmas Sophie from Reaper miniatures. Bah, humbug!
The thing in this miniature I tried for the first time is the snow on the base. I made it by mixing baking soda and PVA glue. It looked really nice initially but has melted considerably before taking this photo. Looks just like the sad excuse for a snow that we have outside today.
