Aino Ahtinen

Aino Ahtinen is a user experience designer, senior scientist in Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), Technologies for Health Behavior Change. She received her Master's degree in Psychology from University of Tampere, Finland. She is currently finalizing her PhD on "User Experience, Design, and Evaluation of Mobile Wellness Applications". She is the author/co-author of about 20 scientific, peer-reviewed articles. Aino has a very strong hands-on experience in the field of human-centered design, user experience and cross-cultural studies, especially on mobile application domain.

Jonna Häkkilä

Jonna Häkkilä is an adjunct professor in Human Computer Interaction at the University of Oulu and Director, Concepting & Research in User Experience design house Soul4Design. She worked as a research leader at Nokia Research Center, where she led user experience, concepting and prototyping research teams in 2007-2011. She has done extended HCI-related research visits to University of Stuttgart, Germany (2011), Carnegie Mellon University, USA (2006), and Griffith University, Australia (2003). She has published over 50 peer reviewed scientific papers on HCI, focusing on mobile and ubiquitous interaction.

Stina Nylander

Stina Nylander is a senior researcher at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science and at the Mobile Life Centre of Excellence, both located in Stockholm, Sweden. Her main research focus is the design, and the real life use of mobile services. Previously, she has worked with for example Internet use from cell phones, mobile ICT for preschool parents, and entrepreneurs' use of social media. She is currently working on long term lifestyle change, and mobile services for sports.

Yunan Chen

Yunan Chen is an assistant professor at Department of Informatics, School of Information and Computer Sciences, and Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the iSchool at Drexel University and a medical degree from China Medical University. Yunan's research interests lie in the intersection of HCI, CSCW, and Medical Informatics. Her recent work investigates how clinicians adopt, adapt and appropriate Electronic Medical Record systems in work practices, and how chronic care patients use health information for self-management.

Ari-Heikki Sarjanoja

Ari-Heikki Sarjanoja works as interaction designer at Polar, one of the world leading companies designing wellness monitors. Previously, he was a researcher at Nokia Research Center and Nokia Multimedia. He is a PhD student at the University of Oulu, and his research interests include HCI with context-aware and wellness applications.

Pasi Välkkynen

Pasi Välkkynen (PhD) is a senior scientist in VTT Technical Research of Finland with 15 years of experience in HCI research. He has specialized in mobile interaction with the real world and also worked with ubiquitous and mobile fitness and wellness applications.
